On the 15th of Oct. ESCN in co-operation with ‘Rastriya Yuba Berojgar Bewasthapan Sangh’ (Naional Unemployed Youth Management Association) started a fish farming programme utilizing the boating canal of Shantiban(picnin spot). The programme was financed by Himalaya Finance Ltd, Biratnagar branch. The programme created 15 direct employments.

On the occassion 3 senior citizens, were also honoured in a Nepali traditional way. The names of the 3 were recommended by the local Village Developement Committee(Amahi Belha VDC), Sunsari.

The programme was covered by local and national media.
