On 15th Sep. a tree plantation programme was organized by ESCN with support from Green Wood Centre (Telford, UK). It was planted around ESCN campus by volunteers, activists and local authorities.

A total of 1,000 trees were planted on the 16th of September, which is just a part of the 10,000 trees to be planted within a year.

Peoples names were recorded with respect to the trees they planted. We believe this will attach a sentimental value to the trees an individual plants, arousing interest and having an impact on people’s relations with such efforts in the future. A list will be kept on the Science Center near the plantation from which visitors can later identify the trees they helped plant, when they visit next time.

We are committed to planting 100,000 trees within 5 years, following the same cyclic plantation technique, where trees will be planted in small groups.
